BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Following the conclusion of the regular season on Sunday, the Lehigh volleyball team was recognized through the Patriot League's year-end awards, given out to individual players and announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Senior middle-blocker Emily Poole and junior outside-hitter Hannah Wright were both recognized with All-Patriot League Second Team honors for their performances and contributions to the Mountain Hawks for the 2019 season. For both players, this is the second consecutive year that both players were honored with All-League selections. Poole will finish her career as a two-time All-League honoree.

Poole repeated a high-performance year, leading the Patriot League in blocks (120), blocks per set (1.19) and solo blocks (30). Poole also had the fifth-highest hitting percentage in the league with a .303 mark.

Through four seasons, Poole has totaled 361 blocks and 110 solo blocks in her career as a Mountain Hawk heading into the Patriot League Tournament. Poole is currently tied for seventh all-time in program history in total blocks and 10th all-time in solo blocks.

Hannah Wright was dominant in all facets of the game this season, and for that reason, she received an All-Patriot League nod for the second year in a row. She ranked eighth in the Patriot League with 308 kills, the only member of the team that eclipsed the 300-kill mark for 2019.

Wright also led the Mountain Hawk squad with 24 service aces. She ranked third on the team with 60 blocks and registered a total of 153 digs.

This is the third year in a row in which at least two Mountain Hawks achieved All-Patriot League recognition. At least two have gotten honored in seven out of the last eight seasons.

Poole and Wright's All-League honors fall on the day before the fifth-seeded Mountain Hawks take on fourth-seeded Navy in Annapolis in the Patriot League Quarterfinals, as Lehigh begins its quest for its third Patriot League Championship and first since the 1997 season.
