Lehigh Clinches Postseason Berth in Regular Season Finale

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Mountain Hawks fell to Army, 3-0, Friday in their regular season finale, but still clinched a Patriot League postseason berth due to Colgate's loss at American.
Lehigh (18-12, 9-7) will be making its sixth postseason appearance in the last seven years and will be looking to return to the championship match for the second time in four years. The Mountain Hawks will draw host No. 1 seed American in the semifinal round of the four-team tournament.
The second and third seeds will be sorted out at the conclusion of Sunday's Army-Navy match, with the winner getting the higher seed. The tournament will begin Saturday and conclude Sunday. All matches will be played at American's Bender Arena.
Army (18-10, 11-4) put together a dominant performance on Senior Night against Lehigh. The Black Knights out-scored the 75-47 and held a .333-.043 advantage in hitting percentage.
Ana Spangenberg led Lehigh with 10 of the team's 24 kills on the night as the only player to reach double-figures. She also paced the team with nine digs.
The Black Knights covered a lot of ground on the night made life difficult for Lehigh as they owned 40-28 advantage in digs and avoided the net minders as Lehigh managed just one block on the night.
