Mountain Hawks Top Penn State Berks

The Lehigh Ice Hockey team played Penn State Berks in their third game of the season. The Mountain Hawks started the game off strong with a pass across the ice from Nick Ramondelli to Jason Langevin to put them up 1-0. Berks ended up scoring two unanswered to end the period with a 2-1 lead over the Mountain Hawks.
After intermission, the Mountain Hawks bounced back with a dominating second period. Within the first minute of play, Ryder Griffith and Keith Calvaruso assisted Harrison Yaste's goal to tie the game at 2-2. Later on in the period, the Mountain Hawks went on the Power Play and capitalized with another goal to put them up 3-2. With the fans roaring in the stands, the Mountain Hawks added to their lead with an unassisted goal by Cody Triolo, putting them up 4-2. Keeping the momentum rolling, Nick Ramondelli and Will Duggin assisted Jason Langevin on his second goal of the game to put the Hawks up by three in their 5-2 lead. The Berks broke the Hawks' four-goal streak by scoring in the last two minutes to end the period at 5-3.
Despite the team's 13 penalties and three player ejections, the Mountain Hawks held on to their lead until the final minutes of the third period. Berks scored to make the score 5-4 with a minute and a half to play. When the clock ran out of time, the Lehigh Mountain Hawks came out on top.
