Experience the Rivalry - Harry Levine '56

9/16/2014 12:02:00 PM | 150th Lehigh-Lafayette Game

With a twinkle in his eye, Harry Levine '56 recalls how an ill-fated plan to light the Lafayette College bonfire backfired back in 1952. The consequences of the Rivalry-eve hijinks brought the freshman instant notoriety on campus, but were less popular with his parents. Remembers Levine, "When I took my hat off...I can still hear my mother's scream of anguish. I said, 'Well, Mom, it was part of the Lehigh-Lafayette Weekend."
