The goals have been plentiful for the Mountain Hawks this season.  This was shown again last night as Lehigh took on the visitors from Rochester Institute of Technology at Steel Ice.  Several Lehigh players were able to make their mark on the scoreboard.  Lehigh was able to go up first at 7:50 of the 1st period when freshman Matt Blakely put one past RIT goalie Nick Amato.  RIT came back quickly though, waiting only 6 seconds to get one in past Lehigh goalie Patrick Walgren at the 7:56 mark.  The Mountain Hawks next goal, scored at 12:30 of the 1st period off the stick of Ryan Lexa assisted by Chris Ramondelli and Adam Goldstein marked the beginning of a multiple point night from Chris and Adam.  This was also the beginning of these two teams trading back and forth goals.  Matt Blakely was able to put in his second of the night at the 14:39 mark.  Another quick response was given by RIT at 15:37 when Nigel Honegger snuck one past Walgren.  RIT again scored at 16:13 when Mike Irwin was able to put one behind Walgren.  This was the end of the scoring in the 1st period and both teams went into the locker rooms tied 3-3.

Lehigh came out looking determined in the second as was shown when Garren Fritts scored his first goal of the night at 2:41, assisted by Chris Ramondelli and Kevin McGee.  RIT once again, responded quickly when forward Joe Bingham was able to get one past Walgren at 3:47.  Chris Ramondelli added a goal to Lehigh's cause at 10:33.  Adam Goldstein was next to score for the Mountain Hawks at 11:16, assisted by Chris Ramondelli and Kevin McGee.  RIT would score the next two, and final goals, of the second period, when Michael Irwin scored at 12:59, and Adam Kristan scored at 15:09.  The second period ended and again had both teams going into the locker rooms tied 6-6.

This would be the end of RIT's scoring.  Lehigh was able to however add 3 more goals onto their total for the night.  Kevin McGee at 9:51 of the 3rd, assisted by Chris Ramondelli, Garren Fritts with his second of the night assisted by Adam Goldstein at 12:41, and Stephen Flego at 15:46, ended the scoring for the night and gave Lehigh a decisive victory 9-6 over RIT.
