UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Mountain Hawks closed out their dual season competing against No. 20 Penn State and Saint Francis (Pa.) Saturday at McCoy Natatorium. The Lady Lions proved too strong for Lehigh, winning 187-95 while the Mountain Hawks dropped a close meet to the Red Flash 156-33.
The host Lady Lions won the first 12 events to put the meet out of reach.
Freshman Alissa Leung continued to be Lehigh's top performer, leading the Mountain Hawks head-to-head against Saint Francis. Leung took third overall in the 100 yard backstroke in 59 seconds flat, and first among Lehigh and Saint Francis entrants. She also had the top time for Lehigh or Saint Francis in the 200 back, finishing fourth overall in 2:05.81. She also added a second place finish in the 400 IM with a time of 4:38.19 with the Nittany Lions swimming unscored late in the meet.
