ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Lehigh women's swimming and diving team wrapped up day two at the Patriot League Championships Friday at Navy's Lejeune Hall. With freshman Alissa Leung leading the way the Mountain Hawks moved up into fifth place in the team standings. Leung set a school record in the 100 yard backstroke, while placing fourth for the top individual finish for the Lehigh women.

Leung initially broke Julie Mitchell's school record with a 56.74 second effort in Friday morning's preliminaries, and then followed up with a 56.60 swim in the finals, good for fourth place overall.

Junior Emily DiDonato joined Leung in qualifying for a championship final, as she placed fifth in the 100 yard breaststroke in 1:05.78. Two other Mountain Hawks reached the B final and went on to claim the top two spots in that race. Freshman Kim Weyand won the consolation final to place ninth overall in 1:07.76, while sophomore Stephanie Yaszemski finished one spot behind in 1:07.94.

Sophomore Meredith Bayer also captured a consolation final, winning the B race in the 400 yard individual medley in 4:31.32. Weyand finished 15th overall in the same event with a time of 4:37.57.

In the relays, Leung, DiDonato, Smalley and freshman Taylor Wise teamed to finish sixth in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:47.47, while seniors Priscilla Barletta and Paola Simon teamed with Smith and freshman Rachel Movius to finish fifth in the 800 free relay in 7:42.38.
