BETHLEHEM, Pa. - After playing its most complete game of the season in a victory over Harvard on Saturday, Lehigh returns to action this evening looking to win back-to-back games for the first time all year. The Mountain Hawks welcome Monmouth to Stabler Arena in a matchup of 2004 NCAA Tournament teams. Monmouth fell to Seton Hall on Thursday evening at Continental Airlines Arena 61-45, as the Hawks were plagued by turnovers throughout. This is game number-two of four in a span of ten days for Monmouth, with the next contest coming on Wednesday at
The formula for success this season has been quite simple for Lehigh: rebound the basketball, play solid defense and get to the free throw line. In their four wins, the Mountain Hawks have grabbed at least 35 boards, held opponents to under 36% shooting and shot a minimum of 17 free throws. In six losses, the Brown and White has topped 35 caroms only three times, while allowing the opposition to hit on 41% or better from the field on four occasions. Lehigh has also shot 15 or fewer free throws in four of those six losses. Monday’s game is scheduled to tip-off at 7:05 from Stabler Arena. Tickets can be purchased by calling 610-7LU-GAME or prior to the game at the arena box office. The contest will be broadcast live on ESPN Radio 1230 and 1320 AM as well as lehighsports.com with streaming audio provided by Yahoo! Sports. Veteran Matt Kerr and Greg Falkenbach ’72 will call the action.
