Mountain Hawks swept by Colgate on senior night

Lehigh started well in all three games, but each time the Raiders would eventually pull away. Colgate out hit Lehigh .211 to .016 on the afternoon. The Mountain Hawks were plagued by errors, committing 35 attack errors and several more setting and ball handling errors.
Three players, junior Michelle Schwendenmann and sophomores Julia Atkins and Shannon Spafford led the Mountain Hawks with eight kills for the match. Kathleen Lafferty added 15 assists to go with eight digs, while Liz McGehee chipped in with 13 helpers. Cassidy Maumus led the defense with 16 digs.
After the match Lehigh head coach Amanda Moran praised her two seniors for their dedication to the program. “The biggest thing with Nikky and Mo was their consistency,” said Moran. “Whether it was practice or a match they were always there every day giving 100 percent for the team.”
Sheila Giovannini led Colgate with 11 kills and six total blocks. Katrina Zawojski added nine kills and 12 digs for the Raiders.
The Mountain Hawks will return to the court on Friday when they wrap-up the regular season against archrival
