Colgate slips past Lehigh in Hamilton

Both teams were plagued by poor shooting throughout the course of the night, as neither team was able to shoot better than 36% in either half. Despite the shots not falling, the Raiders built a 31-25 halftime advantage.
In the second half, Lehigh scratched its way back, tying the game on a Joe Knight three-point basket down the stretch. In the end, however, it wasn’t enough as the Raiders went on to the victory.
Monserez’ 16-points were a game high. Earl Nurse scored nine points and pulled down six rebounds, and Joe Knight added eight points and five assists on the night.
Colgate had three players in double figures, led by 15 from Alvin Reed. The Raiders shot just 35% from the floor in the game, but were bolstered by an 18-of-25 effort (72%) from the free throw line.
