Annapolis, MD – Lehigh fell to Navy by a score of 3-1 in the Mountain Hawks season finale on Saturday evening in Maryland. Lehigh lost the first game 30-27 and then dropped the second game 30-26. The Brown and White rebounded to win the third game 30-26, but then fell in the fourth game to the Midshipmen by a count of 31-29. With the loss Lehigh ends its 2004 season with a record of 2-23 and 1-13 in Patriot League play, while Navy improves to 21-8 overall and 8-6 in league action.

Kathleen Lafferty had 17 total attacks for the Mountain Hawks, while Nikki Barnes totaled ten digs and four service aces. Senior Jill Racketa had 13 kills, 28 total attacks and three service aces in her final collegiate match.

Navy was led by Ashley VanHartesvelt with 63 total attacks, and 27 kills. Four Midshipmen had two service aces and Katey Geary had 20 total attacks.
