Mountain Hawks fall short to Quinnipiac

Bethlehem, PA – Lehigh fell to Quinnipiac 75-66 Saturday, dropping its record to 2-8. With the win the Bobcats improve to 5-5. The Mountain Hawks trailed 41-37 at halftime and fought hard in the second half as well. Freshman Dawn Gorynski paced the Mountain Hawks, shooting 8-of-15 from the floor, including 3-of-8 from three point land. She finished with a team-high 19 points on the night. Carli Toliver and Anne Tierney were also in double digits, posting 17 and 13 points respectively. Jess DePalo led Lehigh with two blocks, while Jana Ransom tallied a team high 11 rebounds and four assists. For Quinnipiac, Sara Esidore set a game high with 23 points. Esidore also managed eight rebounds en route to the win. Ashlee Kelly posted a double-double with 18 points and 17 rebounds. Kelly also tallied two assists. Katie Keilty netted 12 points and led the Bobcats in assists with six. Lehigh returns to action on Tuesday at Stabler Arena to face Princeton at 7:00 p.m. It will be Lehigh's last game before starting Patriot League play on Saturday, January 11th vs. Navy.
