Mountain Hawks improve to 4-2

Bethlehem, PA – Lehigh and Cornell squared off Wednesday evening at Stabler Arena on Matt Logie Bobble Head night and Logie did not disappoint. The senior from Mercer Island, Washington posted a game high 17 points, including a four-point play, as Lehigh dropped Cornell 66-49. With the win the Mountain Hawks improve to 4-2, while the Big Red fall to 2-2. Lehigh didn’t win its fourth game last season until January 12th.
     

Lehigh took a 30-29 lead to the locker room at halftime as seniors Matt Logie and Zlatko Savovic led the way with seven points each. Ka’ron Barnes paced the Big Red early, posting 10 points and a team high three rebounds.
     

In the second half, Lehigh took command with key shots from Savovic and Logie. For the game, Savovic posted 16 points, five rebounds, and 4 assists as the Mountain Hawks shot 25-57 from the floor, including 13-31 in the second half.
     

Cornell battled, however the 15-point output from Eric Taylor was not enough. Barnes managed 14 points en route to the Big Red defeat.
     

Lehigh returns to action on Saturday at Harvard. Game time is 2:00 p.m. and the action can be heard live with Matt Kerr beginning at 1:45 p.m. on both Oldies 1470 WKAP and the Lehigh website, at www.lehigh.edu.
