Lehigh loses to Penn

Bethlehem, PA – Koko Archibong and Tim Begley combined for 37 points to lead Pennsylvania past Lehigh 74-58 on Saturday evening at Stabler Arena in front of 2,312 fans. Begley was a perfect 5-of-5 from the field in the first half including four three pointers to give Penn (8-3) its second straight win. The Mountain Hawks fell to 3-10 on the season with the loss.
     

Junior Matt Logie led Lehigh with 15 points shooting 5-of-13 from the field. Logie connected on 2-of-5 three-point attempts and pulled down three rebounds in the losing effort. Freshman Eric Heil chipped in 11 points and Alex Jensen added nine points and four assists.
     

Archibong finished with 23 points to lead the Quakers despite suffering from a mild case of the flu. The 6-8 junior recorded six assists and three rebounds. Begley scored 14 on the night shooting 5-of-7 from the field and pulled down three rebounds. Penn shot a gaudy 53% from the field and 50% from behind the arc landing 9-of-18 attempts.
     

Lehigh begins Patriot League play on Wednesday evening when it travels to West Point to take on Army at 7:30.
