Schwendenmann leads Mountain Hawks to postseason berth

Army made it as tough as possible on the Mountain Hawks, taking the first two games past thirty before losing 31-29 and 37-35. The 37 points is the most scored by Lehigh in a game so far this season. Lehigh was able to win the final game a little easier, taking it 30-23.
Freshman Michelle Schwendenmann had the best match of her young career, leading the way with a career-high 21 kills on the night. Jeannette Singleton had 17 kills and 16 digs as well, as these two really carried the offensive effort for the team the whole night.
“Jeannette and Michelle really stepped up tonight,” said head coach Sara Fields led the way for Army with a match-high 23 kills. Army will also participate in the Patriot League tournament, thanks to Navy’s loss at Colgate on Saturday. Lehigh clinches their berth, and captures the third seed thanks to a season sweep over the Black Knights. The Mountain Hawks continue their season with a non-conference tilt Wednesday night at Wagner. Game time is set for
