HISTORY:
Built in 1975, Philip Rauch Fieldhouse is the primary home for the Lehigh men's and women's indoor track and field programs. The venue has over 60,000 square feet of space with six lanes encircling the building, in addition to ten straight lanes, two long jump pits, a pole vault pit, a high jump apron and a hammer/shot area. In 2012, the facility had an updated Mondo X floor surface installed, along with upgraded lighting and ventilation systems. The building also received a brand new roof in the summer of 2017. Rauch Fieldhouse hosts approximately forty high school and college indoor track meets each year with guests traveling from around the Mid-Atlantic region.
The building is multi-purpose and is occupied nearly twelve months a year. It is used as an indoor practice facility for the Lehigh Athletics department while hosting numerous institutional and community events like trade expos, car shows, bridal shows, home shows and career fairs. It is also used extensively for camps and clinics. A sporting venue by its nature, Rauch Fieldhouse also has two indoor batting cages, a dividing wall that separates the venue into thirds for multi-use, and is an excellent space for indoor field hockey and other sports needing a large flat surface.
Construction for the building was helped made possible by Lehigh/Penske Athetics Hall of Famer, Philip Rauch ‘33, L.L.D. ‘79, who made a gift toward the facility.

- Community Rentals for baseball, lacrosse, softball and football
