
Lovering and Reigle Earn Patriot League Weekly Honors

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Sophomore Liam Lovering of the men's track and field program and first-year Laura Reigle of the women's track and field team have been selection as Patriot League weekly award winners for their performances at this past weekend's Lehigh Games.
Lovering, this week's Men's Field Athlete of the Week, won the discus with a PR mark of 50.58m, winning by almost four meters. He then threw a distance of 14.34m for eighth place in the shot put as well as finished eighth in the hammer throw with a PR toss of 50m.
"It has been a lot of fun watching Liam's development, stated Men's Track and Field Head Coach Todd Etters. "He has worked hard day in and day out with his fellow throwers and with Coach Taub to become a leader in and out of the circle. He now ranks in the top five on our All-Time lists in three events and in the top 10 in one other event. That is a credit to what he has already done and also what he is capable of doing going forward."
Reigle, the Patriot League Women's Rookie of the Week, broke the school record in the pole vault, previously set by Katie Toman '19 at 3.96m, when she cleared 4.00m to claim first place and a new personal best. Reigle also owns the school record inÂ
"Laura continues to shine as a first year student-athlete, commented Women's Track and Field Head Coach Khayla Atte. "Performing well early in your collegiate career is a huge achievement and we are appreciative of this recognition. Laura has supportive & encouraging teammates within the pole vault event group and she has found a home at Lehigh. I'm excited to see what the future holds; the sky's the limit."
The Mountain Hawks' will travel to Lewisburg to compete in the Bison Outdoor Classic from Friday through Sunday, April 14-16 at the Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium. All three days are set to be streamed on FloTrack.
