Stabler Arena Hosts the World Gymnastics Federation Event "Evolution"

The WGF is bringing their new skill-for-skill pro-competition,  “Evolution,” to Lehigh University's Stabler Arena in Bethlehem, PA on August 27, 2011, at 4:00pm.  It's widely known that men's and women's Artistic Gymnastics is the most watched sport during the Olympics.  However, Artistic Gymnastics hasn't been made available to the mainstream like it is during the Olympics, until now.

Stabler Arena in Bethlehem, PA is the site for the first-ever professional gymnastics event with men and women competing on the same team.  This new format will draw from the existing gymnastics market as well as capture sports fans looking for something new and exciting for their family to see.

The judging/officiating process will be an instantaneous decision with the audience reactions playing a huge role.  “Evolution” will open the barrier that fans face with the complicated routine structure and judging process seen in the Olympic format.

With the reemergence of the speed rope climb and the introduction of a single-bar for women, “Evolution's” world-renowned athletes are going to break free into a more “pro-sport” format that shows off their physical strength and amazing action packed skills.

“This is right up my alley!” says Olympic Silver and Bronze Medalist and National Champion Jonathan Horton.  This excitement is a response seen throughout the industry when discussions started to evolve the sport of gymnastics into what the mainstream wants and how to make it better.

“Evolution” should not be confused with other attempts to change the gymnastics format.  It will be a non-stop competition with thrilling gymnastics, personalities and a production like never seen before.

Tickets range from $19.35 to $57.20 and can be purchased by visiting Stabler Arena, calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000, at all Ticketmaster outlets and  online at Ticketmaster.com (http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/02004694175E7C41).  Tickets are currently on presale and will go on sale to the general public on May 11, 2011, at 10am.   For more information, please visit www.stablearena.com.

Evolution will have a cast of Olympic and world-renowned male and female athletes competing on two eight-person teams. The athletes will compete in a nonstop "skill-for-skill battle" backed by a production that will electrify and overwhelm the audience.
