BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After garnering first team All-Patriot League and second team All-Region, Lehigh women's lacrosse sophomore Sondra Dickey has also been named second team All-ECAC, as announced on Thursday. Dickey is one of just six Patriot Leaguers recognized as only Lehigh, Loyola and Navy had student-athletes named All-ECAC. It marks the second straight season the Mountain Hawks have featured an All-ECAC honoree after Kierstyn Voiro garnered second-team laurels in 2017.

Along with Dickey, the other Patriot League student-athletes honored were Jenna Collins (Navy) and Kristen Yanchoris (Loyola), who were named to the first team while Hannah Powers (Loyola), Kelly Larkin (Navy) and Blake Smith (Navy) earned second-team laurels.

Last Friday, Dickey was named Lehigh's first IWLCA All-Region honoree since Allison LaBeau and Julianne D'Orazio in 2016. Dickey became the fifth Lehigh student-athlete named IWLCA All-Region in Jill Redfern's 10 seasons as Lehigh head coach.

Following the regular season, Dickey was named All-Patriot League for the first time in her career. She was one of just four midfielders named to the first team as the Paoli, Pa. native emerged as one of the league's top all-around players. Dickey was named the league's Midfielder of the Week four times in 2018, tied for the most in the league, along with Collins of Navy. One of two Mountain Hawks to break the previous school record for draw controls in a season, Dickey's 81 were 34 more than the previous school mark of 47 held by Carli Sukonik.

Dickey recorded multiple goals in 15-of-19 games this season with 13 hat tricks after recording two as a freshman. Among Dickey's highlight games in 2018 was a career-high eight points and seven draw controls at Holy Cross, to go with four groundballs and four caused turnovers. At Columbia, she scored the game-winning goal with 12 seconds remaining to give the Mountain Hawks a thrilling 13-12 victory. In the Patriot League Quarterfinals vs. Holy Cross, Dickey scored four goals while collecting a career-high tying seven draw controls, including a big one to begin overtime.

Lehigh finished the season 13-6, 7-2 in Patriot League play. Despite losing three starters to season-ending injuries, the Mountain Hawks won 12 or more games for a third straight season, winning a Patriot League Tournament game and reaching the semifinals for the third time in as many years. Lehigh's seven league victories were a school record. The Mountain Hawks are 38-17 over the last three seasons.
