
Dickey named Patriot League Midfielder of Week for fourth time

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After filling up the stat sheet once again, Lehigh women's lacrosse sophomore Sondra Dickey has been named Patriot League Midfielder of the Week for the fourth time this season, as announced on Monday. Dickey posted career highs in both draw controls (7) and caused turnovers (4) in Saturday's win at Holy Cross while also adding four goals, two assists and four groundballs.

Dickey has been a force both offensively and defensively in a breakout sophomore campaign. All four of her goals and five of her six points on Saturday came in the second half as she helped turn Lehigh's 7-6 halftime lead into a convincing 15-11 victory. Saturday marked her 12th multi-goal game of the season (in 14 contests), 10th hat trick and sixth game with five or more points. The Mountain Hawks have now won three straight games to improve to 9-5 on the season, 4-2 in Patriot League play.

Dickey leads the team in goals (40), points (56) and draw controls (60). The draw control total has already shattered the previous school record of 47. Dickey is also among the team leaders in assists (15), groundballs (28) and caused turnovers (17).

The Mountain Hawks return home on Wednesday night to host rival Lafayette at 7 p.m. With a win, Lehigh would clinch its fifth straight Patriot League Tournament berth. Lehigh remains home on Sunday to host Bucknell at 1 p.m. on Senior Day.
