
Six Mountain Hawks Named to Men's Tennis Academic Honor Roll

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Six members of the Lehigh men's tennis team were named to the 2017 Patriot League Men's Tennis Academic Honor Roll as announced by the league on Thursday. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.
Freshman Jack Martin-Dyer led the way for Lehigh as he was one of four men's tennis student-athletes to record a 4.0 GPA in the spring semester and averaged a 4.0 through the entire 2016-17 academic year. 2017 All-Patriot League and Academic All-Patriot League honoree George Cooper was also named to the Academic Honor Roll and ranked second on the team with a stellar 3.94 GPA in the spring.
A total of nine seniors from around the league received Academic Honor Roll recognition in all four years of their careers. Tyler Hansen represented Lehigh on that list as he capped off his career with a 3.43 GPA and graduated with a degree in finance this past spring.
Loyola held the distinction of the most honor roll selections with 12. Bucknell and Navy were next with eight while Army West Point and Lafayette each had seven. Lehigh had six and Boston University and Colgate both had five student-athletes and Holy Cross rounded out the group with four.
