BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Following a tremendous season, Lehigh women's lacrosse junior Allison LaBeau has been named the Patriot League Attacker of the Year, highlighting four Mountain Hawks who garnered All-League recognition on Monday. LaBeau, classmate Julianne D'Orazio and senior Kendall Garden all earned first team All-Patriot League recognition while junior Lauren Beausoleil garnered second team laurels.

Prior to Monday, the last Mountain Hawk to earn a Patriot League major award was LaBeau (Rookie of the Year in 2014). This also marks the third straight season LaBeau has earned first team All-League honors. D'Orazio and Beausoleil garnered All-Patriot League recognition for the first time while Garden was named All-League for a third straight season. Garden was named to the second team as a sophomore and first team as a junior, and now senior.

LaBeau currently leads the Patriot League in points with 71, seven more than anyone else. In Friday's big 12-11 win over Bucknell which clinched Lehigh a home game in the league quarterfinals, LaBeau tallied four goals and an assist to reach 41 goals and 30 assists on the season. She is one of just four players nationally to reach the 40-goal and 30-assist plateau as her 71 points stand 15th in the country. LaBeau has recorded four or more points 11 times in 2016, multiple goals on 12 occasions and multiple points 14 times. LaBeau leads the Patriot League in points per game, is second in goals per contest and third in assists per game. The Mountain Lakes, N.J. native posted a career-high eight points against Iona while tallying seven points, including a career-high six goals, at Loyola as Lehigh took the Greyhounds to overtime. LaBeau also had seven points against league foes Holy Cross and Army West Point, posting three goals and four assists in each contest. In nine league games, LaBeau has posted 39 points (24 goals, 15 assists).

15342D'Orazio has enjoyed a career season as one of the top defenders in the Patriot League. Most recently, she set career highs in groundballs (8) and caused turnovers (7) vs. Bucknell to reach 40 groundballs and 33 caused turnovers on the season, both tops on the team. Her per game totals stand second best in the Patriot League in both categories. D'Orazio is just five caused turnovers from tying the school record of 38 in a season, and she currently stands just outside the top 10 in league history for caused turnovers in a season. The seven caused turnovers against Bucknell Friday marked a school record and tied the Patriot League record, while the eight groundballs were most by a Lehigh player since the 2010 season. She has made an impact on both ends of the field, also owning 10 goals, two assists and 27 draw controls (second on the team). D'Orazio scored a goal in five consecutive games from Apr. 5 through Apr. 23, and recorded multiple draw controls in six straight contests in April. Other highlight games for D'Orazio include six groundballs against Army West Point, five caused turnovers vs. Holy Cross and a career-high seven draw controls at Loyola. Against the Greyhounds, she also scored the game-tying goal in the final minute of regulation. D'Orazio has helped lead a defense which leads the Patriot League with a 7.80 goals against average. The defense has allowed seven goals or fewer in 10 of 16 regular season contests.

15223Garden has continued her stellar play, making an impact all over the field. The midfielder has started all 16 games this season and 65 games in her career, currently owning 16 goals, five assists, 27 groundballs, 17 caused turnovers and 14 draw controls. Garden has scored a goal in 12 of 16 games this season, posting at least one point in 13 contests. Most recently, the Davidsonville, Md. native tallied a season-high four points vs. Bucknell Friday to eclipse 100 career points. Along with her two goals and two assists, she added three groundballs and two caused turnovers. Garden owns 93 career caused turnovers, which is most in school history and among the top 10 in Patriot League history. Other highlight games included a career-high five groundballs vs. Mount St. Mary's, along with her sixth-career hat trick against Iona. Garden also scored two goals in a Patriot League opening win over Holy Cross.

15212Beausoleil received All-League laurels for the first time, earning a spot on the second team. The Ridgewood, N.J. native has enjoyed a sensational junior season, standing third on the team with 24 goals and five assists for 29 points (fourth most on the Mountain Hawks). Beausoleil is among the team leaders with 38 groundballs, 24 draw controls and 15 caused turnovers, and she's fifth in the league in groundballs per game. She has enjoyed many highlights, including at Boston University when she scored the game-winning goal with five seconds remaining, one of three game-winning goals on the season (tied for third in the league). Beausoleil has tallied multiple goals in seven games this season, most recently scoring a career-high five goals in the regular season finale vs. Bucknell. Earlier in April, she tied a career-high five groundballs and set a career-high six caused turnovers vs. Army West Point, at the time marking the most caused turnovers by a Lehigh player since 2009 until D'Orazio caused seven turnovers this past Friday. Beausoleil has recorded multiple caused turnovers on five different occasions this season.
