BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Continuing his strong freshman season, Kyle Leufroy of Lehigh men's basketball was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week on Monday for the league-high fourth time this season. With his fourth award, Leufroy breaks a tie with Boston University's Kyle Foreman and Holy Cross' Karl Charles, who have each garnered the award three times. Leufroy tallied 32 points over two games last week, highlighted by a game-high 20 last Wednesday's vs. Loyola.

The Pasadena, California native helped Lehigh snap Loyola's three-game winning streak, scoring his 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting and 2-of-3 from three-point range while playing a game-high 39 minutes. The Mountain Hawks beat the Greyhounds, 71-66. Leufroy then scored 12 points in Saturday's convincing 72-49 win over American which snapped the Eagles' five-game winning streak. He finished 5-of-10 from the field and 2-of-5 from three-point range while adding four rebounds, three assists and one steal.

For the week, Leufroy tallied 32 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals, turning the ball over just three times (in 68 minutes of action). For the season, he is averaging 10.7 points and 4.0 rebounds, both third on the team. Leufroy is averaging 13.0 points in league play and his 45.5 three-point field goal percentage in league games is fifth best in the Patriot League.

Leufroy and the Mountain Hawks return to action at Lafayette Monday night. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. Lehigh then wraps up its three games in five days at Bucknell on Wednesday. Opening tipoff is set for 7 p.m. and will be nationally-televised on American Sports Network.
