
Three Mountain Hawks garner NSCAA All-Region honors

NSCAA All-Region Teams
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Three members of the Patriot League Champion Lehigh men's soccer team have been named to the NSCAA All-Northeast Region team, as announced by the NSCAA Wednesday afternoon. Senior Jamie Luchini was named first team All-Region, while junior Justin Worley and freshman Mark Forrest earned third team All-Region recognition.
Luchini finished his senior season with a league-best 29 points behind ten goals and nine assists. He earned Patriot League Tournament MVP honors after securing eight points thanks three goals and two assists in Lehigh's three PLT games as he helped lead the Mountain Hawks to their second-ever league crown and fourth NCAA Tournament appearance. Luchini also led the league with five game-winning goals and earned second team All-Patriot League honors at the conclusion of the regular season.
A junior co-captain, Worley was the anchor of Lehigh's strong defense that secured 10 shutouts throughout the season, good for a 0.45 shutouts per game average that ranks 17th in all of Division I. Worley earned first team All-Patriot League honors in addition to a spot on the All-Patriot League Tournament team after helping guide the Mountain Hawks to the league title.
Forrest finished the season with a league-best 11 goals, including Lehigh's goal in the NCAA Tournament. He wrapped up his freshman campaign with 26 points, good for second most in the Patriot League behind only Luchini. Forrest earned third team All-League honors at the conclusion of the regular season.
This is the first All-Region honor for all three Mountain Hawks. Lehigh finished the season 13-6-3 overall, marking one of four times in program history that the Mountain Hawks have secured 13 or more wins in a season. Lehigh finished league play 4-3-2 to earn the No. 4 seed in the Patriot League Tournament. Lehigh took down No. 5 Bucknell in the quarterfinals before beating top-seeded Colgate in the semis and No. 3 American in the championship. The Mountain Hawks fell at Hofstra in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Lehigh sat atop the Northeast regional rankings in the final regular season NSCAA poll.
