CoSIDA Release

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh men's soccer senior Jamie Luchini has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America second team, as announced Tuesday. The Wexford, Pa. native becomes the program's first Academic All-American and adds to his already long list of postseason honors.

Luchini holds a strong 3.65 grade point average as a Finance major in Lehigh's College of Business and Economics. The senior earned Academic All-Patriot League honors in each of the last three seasons, making him the first Mountain Hawk to ever do so. He was selected as a CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree at the end of October to put him in the running for Academic All-America honors, which was voted on by CoSIDA members. Luchini is one of just two Patriot League student-athletes to be named an Academic All-American and is joined by Bucknell's Jesse Klug (third team).

Luchini wrapped up an impressive career in the Brown and White by leading Lehigh to its second-ever league crown and earning Patriot League Tournament MVP honors. He finished his senior season with a league-best 29 points behind ten goals and nine assists and was named second team All-Patriot League at the conclusion of the regular season. Luchini earned PLT MVP honors after securing eight points behind three goals and two assists in Lehigh's three PLT games and helped lead the Mountain Hawks to their fourth-ever NCAA Tournament appearance. Luchini finished his Lehigh career with 53 points thanks to 18 goals and 17 assists.
