
Turner and Slater earn All-Patriot League Recognition

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh volleyball senior Leah Turner has been named first team All-Patriot League, while classmate Stephanie Slater earned second team All-League laurels, as announced by the league on Tuesday.
Turner averaged a league-best 4.06 kills per set during Patriot League play to go along with her team-best season average of 3.52 spikes per set. The Waukesha, Wis. Native finished the regular season with 370 kills to go along with 229 digs, 45 total blocks and 23 service aces. She tallied double-digit kills in 22 matches and recorded six double-doubles throughout the season. This is the first All-League honor of Turner's career.
Slater wrapped up the regular season with 315 kills and a .260 hitting percentage. She averaged 3.09 kills per set during league play, which ranks sixth-best in the league. Slater tallied double-digit kills in 13 matches this season. The McDonald, Pa. native also contributed 61 total blocks and 53 digs. This is the second All-League honor of Slater's career after the right side hitter earned first team All-League laurels a season ago.
The Mountain Hawks finished the season with a 19-12 overall record and 11-5 league mark. Lehigh will be making its fifth-straight Patriot League Tournament appearance after earning the No. 3 seed. The Mountain Hawks will face No. 2 Army West Point Saturday in the semifinals at American's Bender Arena. The winner will advance to Sunday's 1 p.m. championship game.
