BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh men's soccer senior Jamie Luchini and junior Justin Worley have been named to the Academic All-Patriot League team, as announced by the league Wednesday afternoon.
Luchini earns Academic All-Patriot League laurels for the third-straight season, making him the first Mountain Hawk to ever do so. The Wexford, Pa. native holds a 3.65 grade point average as a Finance major and was recently named a CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree. Luchini leads the Lehigh offense with 22 points behind seven goals and eight assists and earned second team All-Patriot League laurels at the conclusion of the regular season. The senior leads the league with four game-winning goals and has been Lehigh's leading scorer in each of the last three seasons.
Worley has tallied a strong 3.57 GPA as a Psychology major and earns the first Academic All-League honor of his career. The Reading, Pa. native is a two-time Patriot League Academic Honor Roll member and was recently awarded first team All-Patriot League plaudits. Worley, a co-captain, has anchored the Lehigh defense that has secured nine shutouts this season, including a clean sheet in the Patriot League Quarterfinals Tuesday night in a 2-0 win over Bucknell that advanced the Mountain Hawks to Patriot League Semifinals.
