
Taylor wins third straight Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week award

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - After a career-high seven goals and nine points against Lafayette on Friday, Lehigh men's lacrosse junior Dan Taylor has been named Patriot League Offensive Player, as announced on Monday. It marks Taylor's third straight award and fourth this season as he's surged into the Patriot League lead with 61 points on the year.
Taylor outscored Lafayette by himself, scoring a career-high seven goals to lead the Mountain Hawks to a runaway 17-6 victory. The effort was highlighted by six straight goals bridging the second and third quarters as part of an 11-0 Lehigh run, which turned a 5-3 lead into a 16-3 advantage. He also added two assists in the second quarter.
Taylor has posted 33 points on 21 goals and 12 assists over the last five games. The Calgary, Alberta native's league-leading 61 points have come behind 39 goals and 22 assists.
The Mountain Hawks finished the regular season with an 11-4 record and 6-2 mark in the Patriot League. Third-seeded Lehigh will host #6 seed Navy in the Patriot League Quarterfinals on Tuesday. Opening faceoff is set for 7 p.m. With a win, Lehigh would advance to Friday's semifinals (hosted by Loyola) against #2 seed Army.
