Complete U.S. Lacrosse Release & Tryout Roster
BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Former Lehigh men's lacrosse standouts Cameron and Roman Lao-Gosney have been named to the 98-player tryout pool for Team USA, as announced on Saturday. The players will try out on Aug. 30 through Sept. 1 at Goucher College in Baltimore. The roster will then be cut to 40 for the Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Championships set for July 10-19, 2014.
Â
The Lao-Gosneys join an elite list of the game's top players. They were selected to try out from a pool of 156 individuals who submitted applications. Notable returnees from the United States' 2010 FIL World Championship squad include Paul Rabil, Ryan Boyle, Matt Striebel and Ned Crotty.
Â
The twins have experience with the U.S. National Team, most recently in the Champion Challenge played against Loyola on Jan. 27 in Florida. Each scored a goal in a 17-13 victory and both were listed as "eye-openers" by Inside Lacrosse.
Â
The Lao-Gosneys also represented the United States at the Capital Lacrosse Classic last October.
Â
Lehigh head coach Kevin Cassese is an assistant coach for Team USA. The U.S. is headed by Richie Meade, the former Navy coach and current head man at Furman.

Cameron and Roman currently play for Hamilton of Major League Lacrosse. Cameron has two goals and an assist in seven games while Roman owns a pair of goals in 10 games.
