Van Streepen named to Academic All-Patriot League team

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh volleyball junior Jade Van Streepen has been named to the Academic All-Patriot League team, as announced by the league on Wednesday. The environmental engineering major boasts an impressive 3.84 grade point average and has been one of Lehigh's top contributors this season.
Van Streepen's impressive GPA has landed her on Dean's List for each of her semesters at Lehigh. She has also made two appearances on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
Van Streepen has been a consistent force for the Mountain Hawks and has helped lead Lehigh to its first 20-win season in 11 years. The Austin, Texas native led the Mountain Hawks throughout the regular season with 291 kills and a 3.23 kills per set average that ranks fourth in the Patriot League. She also contributed 37 total blocks, 194 digs and 17 service aces.
This marks the third consecutive year that a Mountain Hawk has been a member of the Academic All-Patriot League team. Van Streepen earns the recognition after being named second team All-Patriot League on Tuesday.
Van Streepen and the Mountain Hawks head to American on Saturday to face the top-seeded Eagles in a Patriot League Semifinal match slated to begin at 2 p.m. The match will be aired for free on the Patriot League Network.
