Price named Patriot League Rookie of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Following a strong performance in the season opener, Lehigh freshman guard Austin Price has earned Patriot League Rookie of the Week, as announced on Monday. Price scored 15 points at Minnesota behind 5-of-11 shooting in a strong effort against a reigning NCAA Tournament squad.

Price impressed in his collegiate debut, scoring Lehigh's first points of the season behind a three-pointer then scoring nine points in the second half. After shooting 2-of-7 in the first half, Price shot 3-of-4 in the second to finish 5-of-11 on the evening including 3-of-8 three-pointers.

The Farmington, Mich. native posted a team-high three steals, all coming in the second half as Lehigh played Minnesota even (44-44) in the final 20 minutes and outscored the Golden Gophers 40-35 over the final 16:05. The Farmington, Mich. native added two rebounds, one assist and one block.
