McBride spent the last few months with the Mahoning Valley Scrappers. In 184 at bats, he recorded 50 hits, 12 doubles, four home runs and 31 RBIs. McBride was third on the team in batting average at .272 and second in slugging (.402) and on base (.355) percentages. McBride was named the 2006 Patriot League Player of the Year and spent most of last season rewriting the record book. He led the team in batting average, hits, doubles, home runs, RBIs, slugging percentage and stolen bases. With those leading numbers, McBride set new season records in at bats, RBIs and hits, as well as tying for the number of games played and home runs. McBride became Lehigh’s career leader in doubles last season with a total of 56.
